You must always always follow these teachings, revere the gods, and avoid wrong-doing.

„Senst no Kun (The words of the ancient masters)” was written by Chiba Shusaku Narimasa, the founder of Hokushin Itto Ryu. He was one of the last great sword masters of the samurai era, and the headmaster of one of the three most famous sword schools in Edo (present day Tokyo).

He was one of the developers of modern kendo.
